ABOUT
STEADYFLOW

THE FULL STORY

The SteadyFlow Gate was developed by engineers and agricultural producers to solve some of the biggest challenges regarding water resources. Development included frequent conversations with a wide variety of water users and engineers, prototyping, testing, and monitoring of the first field installations.

The gate is primarily based on the orifice equation and fine-tuned based on testing of prototypes. Since the relationship between head and area is not linear, the arm of the SteadyFlow Gate rotates about a curve that is specifically shaped to compensate for this. Numerous mechanisms were considered, but ultimately, this design was chosen to be the most reliable long term.
